Heathrow is eerily quiet, none of the usual tens of thousand passengers are making their way to their gates and the handful of flights listed on the  board underline that we can’t at this moment just jump on a plane and travel somewhere without an extremely good reason to be doing so.

The announcement of a quarantine requirement for travellers arriving to the UK that takes effect from 08 June has sparked a lot of controversy across the Travel Industry. Both inbound and outbound tourism should, as June approaches, have been gearing up for the demand ahead. With quarantine coming, that prospect must now be a lot further off. We hope that by the Autumn we will see international students returning to boarding schools and possibly a more positive outlook for the future of travel.

Airport Angels are working hard to ensure that we are ready for the ‘new normal’. Our team are currently completing COVID-19 Safety Training and updating their Safeguarding qualifications. Back in the office we are working behind the scenes to assist schools, universities and guardianship organisations with planning and advice for Autumn arrivals. We believe that by providing a safe and welcoming Meet & Greet service under the current circumstances it will alleviate many organisations concerns of sending their staff to the airport to co-ordinate their arrivals.

We will over the next couple of months try to keep you updated with airport and travel information and have supplied a few useful websites below to keep abreast of the changes. We welcome any questions you may have via phone or email.
